What a busy week we had last week! Ka Pai to all of our students who showed wairua (spirit and determination) on Athletics Day. We were impressed with both the performance of our students and the tautoko (support) they gave each other throughout the day.
It was also great to see so many of our tamariki supporting the PTA and attending the School Disco on Friday - a lot of rekareka (fun) was had! Check out the video on Seesaw of our groovy moves!
A reminder that tomorrow the school will be closed for instruction due to industrial action in the form of a day strike.
This week we will be carrying out PAT testing.
The Education Review Office are visiting our kura (school) this week. We look forward to sharing all the wonderful learning of our ākonga with the ERO team.
Inter-school athletics will take place on Wednesday 28th November. Those taking part in this event will have received notices today. Please ensure permission slips for those students are returned before this Friday, 16th November.
Orders for the Year 7 & 8 Jackets must be to the school office by this Friday, 16th November. The jersey is blue and read, and has a zip front as shown below.
Kahurangi will be hosting Assembly this week. We would love to see you there to celebrate the learning of our ākonga this term. We will also have our Kapa Haka rōpu teina (year 5 group) leading us in some waiata which is always amazing to see.
After a busy week last week, we have had some tamariki express an interest in completing last week’s homework task this week. Due to this, our homework task will continue to be around vocabulary building for our Canvas for Change unit. Please find this attached below and on the blog. As always, basic facts and spelling can be found on the blog, and we encourage all students to read for 20 minutes every night.
