Rātaka ō te wiki - Wiki Iwa

Kia Ora whānau rāua tamariki,

Wow - the last newsletter of 2018. This year has whizzed by, yet when we reflect back it has been so packed with student achievements and fun moments that truely showcase our ākonga’s unique and brilliant personalities.

As pouako we have been so proud of all of the members of Kahurangi and how much they have grown this year. To celebrate the amazing year and the end of term tomorrow at 12pm, we will be having our shared Kai . Kahurangi will be supplying pizza (which works out at around 3-4 slices each). If your tamaiti would like to bring extra lunch to supplement that they can feel free to bring some extra lunch, along with their usual morning tea and brainfood.

We will have our final swim for the year tomorrow morning - we hope to see our tamariki taking up the opportunity to have some rekareka (fun) and cool off in this lovely hot weather! This year’s long awaited reports will be coming home tomorrow. What a fantastic way to end the year and celebrate our student’s successes. A classroom placement notice will also be included with reports to let you know your tamaiti’s homeroom and pouako.

We are excited to add that this year we will also have visits to our new homerooms on Wednesday morning, at 10:30am. This will be a great opportunity for our ākonga to spend some time with their new pouako and hapu in their new space.

School finishes at 12:30pm on Wednesday. Please make sure you have made arrangements for your tamariki to be picked up at this earlier time. Please find some information in regards to the start of 2019 attached below.

A huge thank you to our Kahurangi whānau for their support this year, your tamariki have loved having you be a special part of their learning journey. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a fabulous New Year and a break full of family fun and wonderful experiences.

Ngā Mihi,
Kahurangi Pouako
